An original booklet of 20 postcards showing Verdun after the WWI bombing. Titled “Verdun,” this booklet was published in Paris, Franace, with English and French captions. The Battle of Verdun was fought from 21 February – 18 December 1916 during the First World War on the Western Front between the German and French armies, on hills north of Verdun-sur-Meuse in north-eastern France. The postcards featured postcards are: 1. Verdun. Panorama view of the theatres quarter; 2. Verdun. Banks of the Meuse after the bombardment; 3. Verdun. The gate a the Charvosie bridge; 4. Verdun.
