- Description
This extremely detailed map shows every house structure and significant economic and demographic feature in Humphreys County. This map is particularly useful by showing this river county before the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) created Kentucky Lake and inundated low-lying areas along the Tennessee and Duck Rivers. Shows roads, streams, communities, residences, churches, schools, cemeteries, stores, civil districts, railroads, and names of settlements. This Tennessee Dept. of Education Division of Geology map was compiled by J. A. Kerr and state geologist Walter F. Pond.
These state Division of Geology maps of Tennessee counties from the 1920s and 1930s are useful for locating historical structures and communities.
